People ask us all the time what is the best cheese producing region is and we act like it's difficult to answer but in actuality it's the Alps.  It's pretty straightforward.  Not to say that other regions don't produce equally good cheeses, but what I find so fascinating is that absolutely everything we get out of the area is consistently of stellar quality.  You can chalk it up to the verdant Alpine pastures teeming with wild herbs & flowers, a rich, storied cheesemaking tradition, plus Swiss work ethic and a commitment to excellence.  These elements combined produce incredible cheeses year in and year out.  And this year we'll be featuring cheeses from the Alp that we've adopted - Steiner's Hofberg!
