SALADE & FROMAGE ~ SUMMER SESSION!

We are excited to be teaming up, once again, with local culinairan & author of the celebrated cookbook "Salade, Pascale Beale for another delicious Salade & Fromage class on Thursday, September 3rd @ 6:30pm - 8:00pm.  Join us for an evening devoted to composed salads that incorporate fine artisan cheeses and feature excellent summer produce. In addition to being scrumptious, we'll also be delving into various topics such as how to combine & contrast various flavors and helpful tricks and techniques for guaranteeing a delicious salad course. During the class we'll be making 3 different salads from Pascale's book, each of which will highlight a cheese (of course) + we'll be pairing each with a different wine.

AUGUST CHEESE CLASS - CHEESES OF NORTHERN ITALY

We'll be tasting cheeses from the three main northern regions ~ Piedmont, Lombardy & the Veneto.  Due to all the fresh water that comes down from the Italian Alps, this area is home to some incredible cheese.  We'll be tasting through 5 that really showcase each of their areas alongside a crisp, refreshing Pinot Grigio.  It'll be a great way to kick off the Fall class calendar!  Hope to see you there!

June Class - Cheese & Cider

That's right, Cider...it's the new thing, didn't you know?!  And it also happens to pair wonderfully with cheese. In fact, the cheeses of Normandy & Brittany in Northern France were always paired with cider since the climate was too cold for grapes but happens to be perfect for apples.  And Ciders are making a resurgence here in the US with some excellent craft ciders now being produced.  We'll be tasting through 6 cheeses, paired with 3 ciders.

One of life's perfect pairings - Cheese & Honey.  For this class we'll taste through five cheeses paired with five different honeys and explore why these two foods work so well together.  In addition, we'll discuss the fascinating story behind honey and how its made. For those who love salty & sweet, this is a "must attend" class!  We'll be pairing with a crisp white wine for this class, so help us usher in the Summer with some cheese, honey & wine.

Join Jocelyn, our pastry chef extraordinaire, as she shares her tips and tricks for decorating beautiful cakes & cupcakes. As you can see by the pic below, she really knows how to decorate beautiful cakes that not only look amazing but taste incredible too! April Class - Truffle Cheeses

Ahh, the allure of the illusive truffle.  This funghi is beloved by many the world over for it's distinct aroma & flavor.  And it just so happens that adding it to cheese is a great way to preserve it over time.  We'll be tasting through five different truffle cheeses, from a Dutch Gouda to a California goat's milk cheeses and all of them highlight both the intoxicating flavor of the truffle while balancing it with their own unique flavor.  If you're a truffle lover, this is the class for you!  We'll be pairing the cheeses with a Northern Italian red wine. Come celebrate St. Patrick's with us by exploring the cheeses of the British Isles!  We'll have a couple cheeses from Ireland in honor of St. Pat as well as cheeses from Wales & Britain. Come learn about the region where cheddar cheese originated as well as the stories of the cheese makers who are reviving the traditional cheeses of their ancestors.  Naturally, we'll be pairing the cheeses of this fine region with a hearty ale (optional).

I know, some of you think we make this up, but it's a real thing!  Honest.  Saturday, April 12th is National Grilled Cheese Day & we plan on celebrating!  In honor of this wonderful day, we'll be offering a FREE TOMATO SOUP WITH EVERY GRILLED CHEESE!
