Our Story

C’est Cheese is proud to be celebrating its 15th year in business this December having opened its doors in December of 2003. And during those 15 years, C’est Cheese has experienced quite a bit of growth and change. Today we are a full service gourmet cheese shop featuring over 100 cheeses from around the world that we cut to order for our customers along with an artisan selection of cured meats such as Italian prosciutto and Spanish Jamon to our own house made chicken liver pate. We also carry a selection of gourmet food products such as olives, crackers, honeys and even a small selection of European wines from importers such as Kermit Lynch and Weygandt Metzler that we have chosen specifically because they pair so nicely with cheese & food.

C’est Cheese is also a unique Catering business with a distinct reputation for incredibly delicious and artfully arranged party platters for smaller gatherings as well as cheese & charcuterie tables for larger events. We also make lunch platters filled with our simple European style sandwiches on fresh baguettes and tasteful dessert platters and dessert tables that compliment our other offerings.

We used to also have a well loved breakfast and lunch cafe that we unfortunately were forced to close in 2017 as a result of the Thomas Fire. Given the duration of the fire, the time of year that it occurred we unfortunately were not able to re-open the cafe.

In June of 2018, we sublet a portion of our space to a growing local winery called Frequency Wine Co. which is owned and operated by its gifted winemaker Zac Wasserman. And in November of 2018, we opened a holiday housewares pop-up called La Maison Rouge in the remaining open space. Here one can find a carefully curated selection of unique gifts for the bar, table or kitchen!

So as C’est Cheese celebrates its 15th Anniversary, we are just so thankful to be a part of the incredible community that has supported us through so many growth spurts and changes. We are so excited to see what the coming years have in store!

  CHEESE CLASSES  We began hosting monthly cheese classes back in 2005. They quickly gained in popularity and we soon offered two seatings each month.   THE EARLY YEARS…  C’est Cheese began in a storefront that was 850 square feet and pretty much looked liked the pic above from 2003 - 2013.
